Ad Geeks in London: Day 3 - It's Coming to an end...

After a productive Tuesday at MWO and Inferno, we ended the trip with a morning visit to Euro RSG. We were greeted by an ex Sheffield Hallam student, George Brettell. He set us a brief containing three different product options. Loctite Supuerglue, HP Extremely Hot Chilli Sauce, or Flora Extra Light Butter. He gave us around an hour and a half to choose one of the three options and come up with a print campaign. Since Ryan had to go back to Sheffield, I partnered up with Sarah which was a nice change as I haven't worked with anyone different since advertising. We picked the HP sauce and started to write some ideas down to get our heads thinking...

To start we thought of using their current motto of "Seriously Hot" into an idea of having an average girl walking down the road and then a balloon falling on her in which she gets covered in hot sauce and suddenly changes into an attractive woman. However, me and Sarah thought this idea was very shallow and sent off the wrong message in a number of ways so we moved on.

We then came up with the idea of emphasizing on the honey concept as we felt this is something people could easily miss if you carry on focusing on the spiciness of the product. The proposed campaign was to have bees guarding the beehive containing the sauce with the slogan "not as sweet as you think" George really liked this idea as it was something different and he liked how the strapline could be implemented into a range of different concepts within the development.

The visit today was again interesting looking within an agency on a much larger scale and you could feel that in the very busy atmosphere. It wasn't as personal and comfortable like MWO, but none the less, it was a great experience with George giving us some good feedback.

London as a whole was a fantastic three days seeing some great landmarks such as the London Eye, Big Ben and Camden Town. I definitely will be visiting again soon at any given opportunity to look a more creative agencies.
