Getting all cultural...

From looking at the brief for Alight, I had a look around to source more information. One of the first stops  was www.makingmusic.org which has a lot of information in regards to the actual festivals which are occurring around the country. Sheffield has it's own featured page here;

To help get a flavour of the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad, I had a look around to see what types of things have been done. One of the first things I spotted are these gorgeous posters...

This set of posters for the London 2012 Olympic games are designed by some of the UKs leading artists and will be displayed in Tate Modern to the run up of the Olympic games. My favourite one is the Rachel Whitbread one above this. I love the organic feel of the olympic rings from mugs and drinks bottles while the simplicity and message still comes across very strongly.
